While the rules the responsibilities and the work are the same for the Departmental offcials ma the extra-Departmental officials of the Postal Department the extrDepartmental officials are getting only a. small remuneration for their work. [...] Then perhaps the forecasts might be more dependable and would prove more useful to the tillers of the soil and the toilers of the sea. [...] Shri G. S. Guha (Tripura Manipur and Khasi States): Sir I have read with great interest the notes supplied by the Ministry of Conununications on the salient activities of the Ministry during the course of the present year and their plans for the next. [...] I hope the Minister will consider the difficulties of the villagers in the rural areas of Assam and also of Tripura State. [...] It will minimise not only the time taken in the flight but I think it will also he of great advantage to a large number of people because of the expected lowering of the fares.
