The Honourable Shri Jawaharlal Nehru (Prime Minister and Leader of the House): Sir; I move: That this Assembly— (a) do proceed to elect in such manner as the Honourable the Speaker may direct members to serve until the end of the next financial year on Standing Commiitees to adv.:se on subjects concerning the under-mentioned Ministries and Department of the Government of India. [...] Speaker: Motion nioved: "That this Assembly— (a) do proceed to elect in such manner as the Honourable the Speaker may direct members to serve until the end of the next financial year on Standing Committees to advise on subjects concerning the under-mentioned Ministries and Department of the Government of India; the number to le so elected in respect of each Ministr.. [...] therefore once again placing it before the House and for the consideration of the Leader of the House that no proposals involving any financial commiments;k-and which need the sanction or approval of the Standing Finance Committee. [...] Yesterday or the day before yesterday when I made a suggestion that for the Finanle Bill a Committee might be appointed to scrutinise the various 13udget proposals the honourable the Finance Minister suggested from the other Fide whellier it was of the nature of the Estimates Committee of the House of Commons.
