Speaker: I have also to inform the Assembly that upto the time fixed for receiving nominations for the Standing Committees for the Ministries of §tates and Works Mines and Power and the Department of Scientific Research Standing Firvince Committee and Committee on Public Accounts 12 nomintions in the case of the first 10 nominations in the case of the second five nomnations in the case [...] In the current year the Government of India wanted to float a loan to the tune of 150 crores in the market. [...] The object of the Commission was first to receive applications made by the States to the Commonwealth for the grant of financial assistance. [...] If such n Finance Commission is appointed and it takes into account the prvine es the area and the amount collected and also in cases where the prvinces require certain things which they cannot get from the Centre the Comission should reconunend it to the Centre so that there may be harmony between the provinces and the Centre. [...] But the grouse arises when we find that apart from the routine work there is nothing tangibly forthcoming to give us a hope that even in the near future we shall be able to fight the different burning proVems of the day."INDIAN FINANCE BILL 2099: The first problem to tight is the inflation.
