There are a few major Bills on the agenda and if we have to look into them and be of some help to the House I think the course suggested by the Honourable Prime Minister will be inconvenient though of course if that is the sense of the majority others will have to obey. [...] Mr: Speaker: I have to inform honourable members that for the purpose of election by means of the single transferable vote of a member to the Staning Committee for the Ministry of Relief and ReliabLitation the programme of dates will be as follows: Nomination to be filed in the Notice Office upto 4 P. M. today. [...] Speaker: I have also to inform the Assembly that upto the time fixed for receiving nominations for the Standing Committee for the Ministry of Works Mines and Potter and Standing Committee for Roads one nomination in the case of the first and two nominations in the case oT the second were received As the number of candidates is equal to the number of vacancies in each of the two Committees. [...] Speaker: The House will now proceed with the further consideration of the following motion moved by the Honourable Shri N. Gopalaswami Ayyagar yesterday : "That the Bill to provide in pursuance of an agreement with Pakistan for the exchanae of prisoners for the transfer of certain prisoners from India to Pakistan and the reception -in India of certain prisoners from Pakistan be taken into co [...] there has at least been a great storm here and I would describe these prisoners as orphans of the storm It is very happy that the Government is going to make arrangement for the exchange of these orphans of the storm from one Dominion to the other Certain issues arise in connection with the implementation of the Agre- ment which has been effected between the Governments of Pakistan and India.
