STARRED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1997 (2) Revision of the system of training on the Duff erin by the adoption of a new curriculum prescribing higher standard of training raising the pre-admission qualification to Matriculation and age limits to 15 to 17 years and the reservtion of the Duf ferin only for th training of executive cadets when the existing batch of engineer cadets leave the ship. Recommended the appointment of a Director of Marine Engineering training to improve and supervise arrangements for the practical training of boys in workshops and to undetake the work in connection with the estblishment of the Marine Engineering College.
