I am sure I have said enough and that the honourable members will be induced to accept the principle of rho Bill and that I shall receive the fullest support of both the Hou-es of the Legislature including the members of the Government. [...] Sir the figures that have been quoted by the honourable mover show that the number of widow homes is meagre The proportion of widows is so big and the number of widow homes is small it does not show that the Hindu society is indifferent to the pressing necessity of widow homes. [...] Ahmed Shah and by the Khan Bahadur Sahib himself to the effect that it would be better if the scope of the Bill were enlarged and if the Bill were made such that the widows homes of other communities might also come within the ambit of this Bill. [...] The situation in the province in the country and in the world is known to everybody and I need not emphasise the dangerous nature of the crisis that is developing everywhere. [...] The control over the army is the first badge of freedom ; the right to bear arms is the only right is the only sign of the free man.
