Has attention of the Goverment been drawn to the criticism of the Court against Rashid.Ahmad the Station Officer of Andhiari Police Station and the Civil Surgeon Dr. [...] The conduct of the Civil Surgeon forms the suject of the detrtinental inquiry. [...] of Government with repect to the amendment which was moved by the Hon'ble the Iinance Nhanber or the amendment of Mr. [...] They said "We are of the opinion that the Act is capable of being worked to the dvantage of the debtors in many provinces and should be retained. "We are unable to agree with the suggestion to emend the Act so as to fix a definite statutory limit to the rate of interest." 1. invite particular attention of the members of this House to this sentence "-We are unable to agree with the suggestion [...] The risk in the case of the subsequent mortgage is somewhat less of course than in the case of unsecured loans but the risk is there and as such I would not like the idea of fixing any rates of interest for unsecured loans.
