Pandit Erijnandan Prasad Mina : (a) Will the Government inform the Council as to when and for what reasons was the judgeship work relating to the district of Pilibhit detached from the jurisdiction of Bareilly judgeship and annexed to Kumaun judgeship ? (b) Will the Government lay on the table a copy of the Goverment order or notification effecting this change ? The Hon'ble Captain Nawab S [...] Pandit Brijnandan Prasad Misra : Has the Government or the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad consulted the lawyers the litigants or the other sections of the public affected by the proposed change? [...] The Hon'ble Captain Nawab Sir Muhammad Ahmad Sa'id Khan : The High Court did not consult any of the classes named but received information of the views of the lawyers and the interests of litigants from the Judge of Kumaun. [...] The surplus water of the Sarda canal falls into the river and the result is that specially in the winter season the water is to the depth of 7 or 8 feet and there being no bridges the people of the district are put to a great difficulty.
