LALIT CHANDRA DAS: (a) Will the Hon'ble Minister in charge of the Education Department be pleased to state whether it is It fact that the grant-in-aid to the girls' section of the Ashutosh College Calcutta has been stopped suddenly by the Government without giving any reason to the authorities of the institution ? (b) Will the Hon'ble Minister be pleased to state the amount of grant-in-aid which [...] d) Will the Hon'ble Minister be pleased to state when was the decision about the stoppage of the grant-in-aid arrived at by the Government and when was it conveyed to the authorities of the said institution ? (e) Is the Hon'ble Minister aware that there are Moslem girls also being educated in the girls' section of the said institution ? *N. [...] (g) Is it a fact that the huge amount of grant that is being paid to the Brabourne College has stood in the way of giving the said granin-aid to the girls' section of the Ashutosh College ? The Hon'ble Mr. [...] (c) The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative_ am glad to say that the Collector has reported that the officers of thdepartment of which I am in charge took all necessary steps to reinforce the embankment.
