(2) Sub-section (3) of section three of the British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act 1922 (which relates to the construction and the printing of copies of the principal Act) shall apply in relation to amendments made in the principal Act by this Act as it applies in relation to amendments so made by the said Act of 1922. [...] Barrister-at-Law one of the Judges of the High Court of Judicature at Fort William in Bengal to perform the duties of the Chief Justice during the absence on leave of the Honourable Sir G. C. Rankin lit. [...] S. Collector of Chittagong has been elected in accordance with the Provisions of section 10 (2) of the said Act to be the Vice-Chairman of the Commissioners for the Port of Chittagong vice Mr. [...] Among the more conspicuous of these occasions 1 ere the hartal declared against the arrival of the Sttutory Commission in India in 1928 the obsevance of Jallianwallah Bagh Day" and "Independence Day" in 1930 and the strike of the Corporation scavengers in 1933. [...] —On the resumption of the civil disobedience movement in 1932 this officer was in charge of the Mahisadal Police Station in an area where the most pronounced defiance of the Government had been displayed during the movement of 1930.
