S. (Retd.) has given the award as shown in the annexure hereto; Now therefore in exercise of the powers coferred by sub-section (2) of section 15 read with sub-section (3) of section 19 of the Industrial Disputes Act 1947 (XIV of 1947) the Governor is pleased to make the following order and to direct with reference to section 17 of the said Act that the award be published in the Calcutta G [...] As shown in the letter of the University to the Government under consideration ordinarily the total income of the University is in the neighbourhood of Rs. [...] It will be necessary to consider the existing scales in the light of the University scheme and of the modified demands now put forward by the Eployees' Association keeping in view as far as practicable the scales recommended by the Central Pay Commission. [...] I have decided that the scale for Durwans in the University Press should be the same peons in the Press are now in the scale of Its. [...] 30-+-40 for peons in the Press subject to the proviso that the University may put certain selected peons in the Press in the grade of Rs.
