The names of the undermentioned have been brought to the notice of the Secretary of State for War for valuable and distinguished services rendered in connection with the Military Operations in the theatres of war specified during the period ist June 1918 to 3oth April 1919. [...] He has also had under consideration the question of effecting the necessary differentiation in the remuneration of Europe-recruited and India-recruited officers respectively by the grant to the former of special allowances in addition to the Indian or normal rate of pay. [...] 0. The desire of the Head of a Foreign State to confer upon a British subject in the Service of the Crown the Insignia of an Order must be notified to His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs either through the British Diplomatic Representative accredited to the it-lead of the Foreign Stare or through his Diplomatic Representative at the Court of St. [...] The desire of the Head of a Foreign State to confer upon a British subject the Insignia of an Order or the fact tlhat he has done so must be notified to His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs either through the British Diplomatic Representative accredited to the Head of the Foreign State or through the Diplomatic Representative of the latter at the Court of St. [...] 13.-506-11 dated the 5th December 1919 with the following terms of reference :— ‘ In view of the necessity of encouraging Indian industries while at the same time securing economy and efficiency in the purchase of Government requirements the Committee should enquire and report :- (a) what measures are required to enable the Departments of the Government of India and of Local Governments to obt
