The Committee will be required in particular to consider and to make definite recomendations as to— (r) the amount of space to be prescribed for each passenger and the method to be adopted for the measurement of such space ; (a) the standards of ventilation latrine accommodation and water-supply to be prescribed; (3) the conditions on which the carriage of passengers' luggage and of cattle s [...] TEe Committee should bear in mind the recommendations of the Native Passenger Ships Commission of 189o and should carefully consider the expense to which shipping companies will be put and the decrease in the earning power of ships which may be involved in the acceptance of their recommendations in order that the amendments they propose to the Act or rules may not result in making fares prohibiti [...] ORDER.—Ordered that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Governments of Madras Bombay Bengal and Burma to the Finance Department and to the President and members of the Committee.
