57 dated the 16th May 1921 the Governor-General is pleased in pursuance of the provisions of sub-rule (I) of rule 24 of the Legislative Assembly Electoral Rules to call upon the Burma (Non European) constituency to elect on or before the 31st July 1922 in accordance with the said rules a persin for the purpose of filling the vacancy caused by reason of the acceptance by the Governor-General [...] W.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (r) of section io of the Indian Post Office Act 1898 (VI of 1898) the Governor-General in Council is pleased to direct that with effect from the ist day of January 1922 the following further amend ment shall be made in the rules published with the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Commerce and Industry No. [...] [ PART H half the value of the note may be paid to the claimant on the presentation of the countepart or on the expiration of the period of one year as the case may be. [...] (2) If after considering the record of such enquiry he is so satisfied and is further satisfied that the claimant was the last lawful holder of the note he shall cause to be published in the Gazette of India and in three successive issues of the local official Gazette a notification stating the particulars of the note alleged to have been lost or destroyed and the name of the claimant and cal [...] have loss Note lawful holder of the said Note Notes Claimant's AND WHEREAS the said name has applied to the Currency Officer for the Circle for payment of the amount of the said Note; -- ' Notes AND WHEREAS the said Currency Officer for and on behalf of the Governor-General of India in Council acting in the premises for and on behalf of the Secretary of State has acceded to the said application
