" Do Government propose (a) to begin the work of constructing the Raipur Parvatipur section of the Vizianagram Parvatipur Railway and (b) to provide funds for the construction of the said railway during the next year's budget :" The Hon'ble Sir Arthur Anderson replied :— " (a) It is the intention of Government subject to the Secretary of State's concurrence to recommence construction of the [...] If the former the answer is in the negative ; if the latter the Ifon'ble Member is referred to the Government of India's Resolution of the 2nd July 1919 a copy* of which is laid on the table. [...] " Will Government be pleased to lay on the table a statement irgritlini showing— Judgments:a (a) the number of applications for copies of judgments and evidence taken and other proceedings of the Summary Courts and of the Courts of the Area Officers in cases arising out of the recent disturbances in the l'imjab made on behalf of the persons convicted to the Legal Remembranoer the District Magist [...] the 10th April (iii) in the Hira IVIandi Chauk on the 12th April ? (b)- What was the number of persons injured if any among the Police and the Military specifyinc?b the nature of their injuries in the places and on the occasions mentioned above ? " The Hon'ble Sir ViTilliap Vincent replied :— " The figures are given belo(i) Upper Mall. [...] and the name and designation of the officer who passed the order ; (c) the number of stripes inflicted on each such person ; and (d) the name of the locality where the flogging was administered The Hon'ble Sir William Vincent replied :-- " The detailed statements already placed on the table give some of the iformation the lIon'ble Member wants.
