PC-1 (1)53.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Supplies (Temporary Powers) Act 1946 the Central Goernment considering it necessary and expedient for maintaining the supplies of newsprint and securing its equitable distribution and avaiability at fair prices is pleased to make the following Order :— 1. (a) This Order may be called the Newsprint Control (Amend [...] (1) The Central Government or any officer authorised in this behalf by the Central Government may require any prprietor or other person concerned with any newspaper press or newspaper or any person carrying on or concerned with any business or undertaking which involves the import sale distrbution storage or use of newsprint to give any information in his possession or within his knowledg [...] (3) The Central Government or any officer duly authorised in this behalf by the Central Government may inspect or cause to be inspected any books or documents referred to in sub-clause (2) in the possession of any of the persons referred to in sub-clause (1) and such persons shall whenever required to do so permit the inspection to be made without any hindrance evasion or concealment ( 421 ) P [...] APRIL 7 1953 (4) When any officer authorised in this behalf by the Central Goernment has reason to suspect that a contravention of this Order has taken place or is likely to take place he may enter and search or cause to be entered and searched any premises or place where anything in contravention of this Order has taken place or is reasonably suspected to have taken place or to be likely to [...] 3 in the Gazette of Pakistan Extraordinary of March 16 1953 and as corrected by Corrigendum issued on 19th March 1953 the Central Government is pleased to authorise the Controller of Printing and Stationery Pakistan Karachi to exercise in West Pakistan the powers and functions referred to in sub-clauses (1) (4) and (5) of Clause 3 and Clauses 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 and 11A of the Newsprint
