F. 3(17)I52-LSG.—The following Revision of Pay Rules and Schedule relating to the Karachi Municipal Corporation are published for the information of all concerned :- THE KARACHI MUNICIPAL CORPORATION (REVISION OF PAY OF ‘A’ SCHEDULE STAFF) RULES 1953 Preamble.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 286 (5) (b) read with section 282 of the City of Karachi Municipal Act 1933 the Karachi M [...] Rule IV.—The option given in rule III shall be exercised in writing and communicated by the Municipal OfficerlServant concerned to the Accounts Officer of the Corporation within three months from the date of publication of these rules failing which the Officer or Servant cocerned shall be brought on to the prescribed scale of pay. [...] Rule V.—The pay of a permanent Municipal OfficerlServant who was not officiating in a higher post on the 28th February 1953 and who is brought on to the prescribed scale shall be fixed in that scale with effect from the 1 March 1953 at the stage of the prescribed scale next above the pay drawn by him in the existing scale on the 28th February 1953 to which shall be added one increment in the p [...] Rule XI.—Except with the prior sanction of the Provincial Goverment no person -;hall after the promulgation of these rules be employed :- (a) on contract or otherwise on pay other than the minimum of the prescribed scale of the post for which he is employed ; and (b) on direct recruitment start service in any grade at a stage higher than the minimum of the prescribed scale. [...] Rule the event o a difference of opinion over the interprettion of any of the above Rules arising between the Financial Adviser (when appointed) and the Municipal Commissioner or Municipal Coporation the ma cter shall be referred to Provincial Government and the interpretation given by the Provincial Government shall be final.
