45/2/39 dated the 9th May 1939 the Governor is pleased to declare that the parts of the Province of Bengal specified below shall be a notified area for the purposes of the said Act namely :- (1) The town of Calcutta as defined in setion 3 of the Calcutta Police Act 1866 together with the suburbs of Calcutta as defined by notification under section 1 of the Calcutta Suburban Police Act 186 [...] of section 388 of the Indian Sucession Act 1925 (Act XXXIX of 1925) the GOvernor is pleased to invest the munsif of Fatikcheri ex-officio with the functions of a District Judge within the local limits of the said munsifi in the district of Chittagong.
