Nicholl resigned : Now therefore the Governor in Council is pleased in exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (a) and (b) of sub-rule (2) of rule 11 of the Bengal Electoral Rules and in pusuance of sub-rule (3) of that rule to prescribe the 6th November 1936 as the date for the nomination of candidates and for the delivery of nomination papers to the Returning Officer and the 7t [...] D.-5th November 1936.—In exercise of the power conferred by suparagraph (1) of paragraph 20 of Part I of the Government of India (Provincial Legisltive Assemblies) Order 1936 read with pargraph 26 of Part I of that Order and surule (2) of rule 122 of the Bengal Legislative Assembly Electoral (Conduct of Elections) Rules 1936 the Governor of Bengal in Council is pleased to fix the 9 [...] The term of office of the Chairman shall be for a period of one year from the date of approval of his election by the Local Goverment under sub-section (3) of section 11 of the Act or from the date of his appointment under sub-section (2) of that section as the case may be but he shall be eligible for re-election or re-appointment.
