7173J.—The 12th September 1922.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 14 and 15 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 (Act V of 1898) the Governor in Council is pleased— (a) to confer upon each of the gentlemen named below the powers of a Magistrate of the third class in the district of the 24-Parganas 24-Parganas. [...] 7262 1.—The E'14th September 1922.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 and the proviso to section 357 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 (Act V of 1898) the Governor in Council is pleased— (a) to confer upon Babu Surja Kumar Chalirabatti an Honorary Magistrate of BakarganJ the Patuakhali Bench the powers of a Magistrate of the second class in the district of Bakarganj for [...] 7264 T.—The 14th S'eptember 1922.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 14 and 15 and the proviso to section 357 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 (Act V of 1898) the Governor in Council is pleased— (a) to confer upon Babu Bishnu Pada Ray the powers of a Magistrate of the second class in the district of Howrah for a period of three Howrah years from the date of this notification [...] 1. The prescribed authority" for the purposes of section 6 of the Indian Soldiers (Litigation) Act 1918 shall be the Officer Commanding the Unit or the Officer Commaning the Depot of the Unit to which the Indian soldier belongs care of the General Officer Commanding in Chief Eastern Command except in the case of the personnel of the Inland Water Transport when the " prescribed authority " [...] 2. The notice to be given under the said section 6 shall be in the form of a letter from the presiding officer of the Court in which the proceeding is instituted to the authority prescribed by rule 1 and shall be accompanied by a copy of the plaint the memorandum of appeal (including a copy of the decree) or the application in the' proceeding as the case may be.
