o. 47.—It is hereby notified for public information that all the rights of the present jodidars in the undermentioned jodi villages winch have been duly attached in satisfaction of the arrears of revenue due to Government (as shewii in the subjoined statement) by the said jodidars will be sold by public auction at the places and on the dates mentioned in the annexed statement. [...] 5. The sale shall be stayed if the defaulter or any other person acting his behalf or claiming an interest in the land tenders the full amount of the arrears of revenue with the interest and other charges provided such tender be made before sunset on the day previous to that appointed for the sale. [...] 7 Purchasers having completed the payment of the purchase money will as soon as the sale has been confirmed by the Chief Commissioner be placed in immediate possession and the village will be registered in the name of the purchaser and a certificate of sale signed and sealed by the Deputy Comissioner will be granted to him. [...] portionate to the number of days the said house may have remained occupied provided that the owner of such house or his agent shall have given to the Subedar of Mahadeopet notice in writing of the vacancy thereof and that the amount of rate to be remitted shall be calculated from the date of the delivery of such notice."2 24 THE MYSORE GAZETTE AUGUST 28 1880. [...] In paragraph 5 His Excellency in Council directed that if notwithstanding the orders issued legatender copper coin should at any time or anywhere circulate at a discount the fact was to be immdiately reported to the Local Government and by the Local Government to the Government of India with full explanation of the causes of the phenomenon and of the measures taken to remedy the evil.
