3. The person whose tender is provisionally accepted by the Deputy Commissioner will be required to deposit at once a sum equal to one-sixth of the amount Of the tender plus local cess and on the cofirmation of the tender to pay the remaining amount with local cess by 20 equal monthly instalments to the Davangere Taluk Treasury on the 20th of every month commencing from 20th April 1880 the de [...] 25 will be levied at the discretion of the Superintendent of the District Jail for' any infringement of the stipulation of the contract or for the supply of any inferior articles and if frequently violated the contract may be annulled and the security confiscated to Goverment. [...] The contractor will be bound to purchase vegetables from the jail garden for the use of the prisoners at the same rate as in the contract. [...] 50 will be levied at the discretion of the Superintendent of the Shimoga Jail for any infringement of the stipulation of the contract or for the supply of any inferior articles and if frequently violated the contract may be annulled and the security confiscated to Government. [...] The purchaser must deposit one half of the annual rent immediately on the sale being declared; be must also execute within 5 days from the date of sale aformal engagement for the due fulfilment of the contract failing which he will forfeit the deposit to Government and will further be liable to any loss that may ensue from the re-sale of the farm having at the same time no claim to any advantage
