Between the words " Dohrighat " and " and " insert " the road from Jaunpur to Bewares the Naigang road " and for " 45 miles" read " 65 miles." Under " Local Roads " it has to be noted that the metalling of the local road from Ja.nghai to Machhlishahr was completed in 1912 and the road from Jaunpur to Benares was provincilized iu April 1910 as a part of the Lucknow-Benares road. [...] The density remained practically the same namely 745 to the square mile and the relative position of the various tahsils was much the same. [...] At the end of the paragraph for " Towns and Villages " ada the following The number of inhabited towns and villages in the census of 1921 was 3 141 as against 3 176 of 1911 of which only Jaunpur city and the towns of Alachhlishahr and Shahganj contained a population of over 5 000. [...] The Maulvi estate :— Delete " This estate and others" and add the following after " the daughter of Imam Bakhsh :—" " and the joint landed property is still under partition in the revenue courts.""4 Jaunpur District. [...] Apart from the Subordinate Judge whose jurisdiction extends over the whole district the city Munsif deals 'pith tahsil Jaunpur and pargana Garwara in tahsil.Machhlishahr while tahsil Mariahu and parganas Ghiswa and Mungra of t.thsil Machhlishahr go to the Munsif of Jaunpur and tahsils Shaliganj and Kerakat are done by the Munsif of Shahganj " Pages 116 and 117.
