Shri M. L. Dwivedi: Will the Minister of Railways be pleased to state: (a) what is the percentage of profit or loss per year since 1950 in the work- ing of the Railway Collieries; (b) what are the recommendations of the Railway Collieries Inquiry Com- mittee; and (c) whether the recommendations have been accepted or not? [...] It has been stated by the Minister in the statement that this matter will be taken up after the ownership of the collieries is finally transferred to the Ministry of Production. [...] M. M. Las: Will the Minis- ter of Food and Agriculture be pleased to state: (a) the existing arrangements for financing the Indian Central Jute Com- mittee; (b) whether any change in the exist- ing financing arrangement of the Com- mittee is contemplated by Government; and (c) the reasons for not bringing into effect the financing arrangement of the Indian Central Jute Committee by the imposition [...] The findings and suggestions of Shri Lokur have been generally accepted by the Gov- ernment of India and the parties were asked to intimate to Government an agreed amount as to the rateable value of the Port Trust properties for pur- poses of municipal taxation for the quinquennium 1944-49 in accordance with decisions of Government. [...] Shri Gidwani: (a) Will the Minister of Food and Agriculture be pleased to state whether the attention of Government has been drawn to the editorial comment in The Hindustan Times, New Delhi, dated the 21st May, 1953, published on page 7, demanding inquiry into the working of the Central Tractor Organisation?
