The season on the whole therefore has been unfavourable and the failure of rains in August and September damaged the paddy crop. [...] 2. Work in connexion with the construction of the Agricultural Middle School buildings which mainly occupied the time of the staff, again made it impossible to continue the scheme of experiments out- ined for this station. [...] The handing over of dry laud area to the school referred to in the last annual report of the station is still pending, and therefore no experimental work was done during the year. [...] 8. The crop was poor from the outset especially in the northern portion of the field and later, was badly attacked by a fungus identified by the Govern- ment Mycologist as Rhizoclinia. [...] Sugarcane. —The manurial experiment was continued along the same lines as in the previous year, but the unfavourable season at the time of harvest, which has already been referred to, caused the crop to lodge.
