It would only shew that while giving away the Promissory notes the General reserved to himself the right of using the proceeds up to his death in the same way that he had enjoyed the proceeds up to the time of the transfer." Also that the conduct of the defendant after the death of his father was by no means inconsistent with the assumption that he considered himself the owner of the promissory [...] The High Court on the other hand have referred to the same transfer as shewing that the General then intended that a transfer on the face of it complete should not interfere with the claims of his other heirs.
