The Calcutta Municipality the Univesities Act the Police Reforms the Official Secrets Act the Persian the Thibetan the Afghan affairs the Partition of Bengal are all instances of this kiud. [...] The Lath Journal under the heading The Shadow of the Long Vacation " has the following paragraph on the English High Court :— 'rhe light of Justice ' said Lord Justice Knight-Bruce is waning in August.' Already the shadow of the Long Vacation is falling on the Courts. [...] The position when the sovereign may think that the policy of the Ministry though acceptable to the House of Commons is not acceptable to the Illintry. [...] In Sundarji v. Dabibai at p. 316 Chandavarkar J. holds that as between the guardian of the minor son of a deceased Jain and his widow the step-mother of the minor the preferential right to perform the funeral ceremonies of the deceased rests in the widow. [...] PIeld—That as the Committee has powers equal to those of a landlord whereas the Superintendent oneupies the position of a manager subordinate to the Committee the suit by the Committee was maintainable.
