Dabibai at p. 316 Chandavarkar J. holds that as between the guardian of the minor son of a deceased Jain and his widow the step-mother of the minor the preferential right to perform the funeral ceremonies of the deceased rests in the widow. [...] PIeld—That as the Committee has powers equal to those of a landlord whereas the Superintendent oneupies the position of a manager subordinate to the Committee the suit by the Committee was maintainable.
