[...] On the 15th July an application was presented to the Magistrate in which it was alleged that although the paternal restdence of the Petitioner is in a village within the local limits of the jurisdiction of the Sub-divisional Magistrate yet the Petitioner resides in Berhampore outside the jurisdiction of the Magitrate.
