The welfare of the girl for the time being was regarded as the sole guide in consideing the claims of the father and the maternal granmother for guardianship. [...] [KARTA AND GUARDIAN].—Where the mortgage for the benefit of the joint family and is made by the managing member as representing the family the decree on such mortgage is binding on all the mebers of the family and none the less so because the karta who happens also to be the certificated guadian of a minor member of it makes the alienation without leave obtained from the Court to make it. [...] The complaint against the Petitioner was that he had gone to a Mahomedan village and there shot at one G. The District Magistrate transferred the case from the file of the Sub divisional Magistrate of Jamalpur who had taken cognizance of the case to the Additional District Magistrate Mr. [...].0 The Petitioner moved the High Court to set aside the transfer on the grounds inter.alia that the transfer was bad in law first because the District Magistrate did not state any reasons for the transfer and secondly that the Additional District Magistrate not being subordinate to the District Magistrate the latter had no jurisdiction to transfer the case. [...] P. C. to transfer the cases which were taken cognizance of by the Sub-divisional Magistrate of Jamalpur to the 'Additional District Magistrate."
