Having regard to the increase in the burdens of the High Court Judges consequent on the creation of Special Tribunals we are sure that the Secretary of State will not withhold the sanction and we shall hope to see the full compliment of fifteen judges on the reopening of the Court after the Long Vacation. [...] THE NAVAL CADET CASE (Shee v. The King The Times t 3th July) where the father of a boy of 13 years of age was asked to withdraw his son from the Naval College on the allegation that the boy had forged the signature of another boy on a postal money order and appropriated it to his Own use has raised a question as to the value of the opinion of handwriting experts. [...] The language used in the agreement and the form of the scurities are familiar to all English lawyers and without saying that the term "floating charge" is unknown in Roman Dutch law as to which there is no evidence think the language used strongly confirms the Arimd facie rule that theslaw of the place where the contract was executed is the proper law. [...] The Appellant deposited the d4cretal amou t in Court but asked the Collector not to paf the money to the Respondent pending the decision of the appeal before the Privy Council and he ordered accordingly. [...] The Respondent's solictors entered a caveat and objected to the hearing of the petition before the expiry of the to days allowed by Rule 54 of the Rules of the Judicial Committee 1908 ; and the IWistrifr didnot place the petition on the list for hearing.
