One of our contemporaries very apropriately concludes by quoting the accession proclamation of George which may be regared as the Charter of judicial independence in England and which declares that “the indepenency and uprightness of the Judges of the land” is to be regarded as “essential to the impartial administration of the justice as one of the best securities to the rights and liber [...] After this the Crown cannot do better than entrust the Government of India to the journalistic staff of Printing House Square acording to whom the High Court of Bengal and the Government of India are in some way reponsible for the murder of the Collector of Tinevelly and that of a Police Sub-Inspector at Mymensingh. [...] In the opinion of these high authoities the verdict of the assessors in the Dacca Conspiracy case the decision in the Howrah Gang case the clemency exercised in the Khulna case are all judicial and political muddles which the judiciary and the executive in India might well have avoided if for instance they had been given the benefit of a thorough insight into the methods of the Times in con [...] BEFORE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRANCE AND England regarding the extradition of Savarkar was referred to the arbitration of the Hague Tribunal the Law Magazine and Review was a stout supporter of the claims of England. [...] In the course of his judgment the Master of the Rolls remarked : In his opinion the Defendant's building was a shop as distinguished from a warehouse and it was none the less a shop because there might he a warehouse accessory to the shop and used for supplying the shop with the goods sold.
