T.ie fact of fthe place where the offence was comitted ceasing to be British territory after the comission of the offence does not oust the jurisdiction of the British Court within the local limits of whose jurisdiction the place was at the time of the commission of the offence. [...] The facts were as folows :- The Petitioner was the Defendant in the suit instituted by the Plaintiffs-Respondents in the Court of the Subordinate Judge of Hazaribagh on the 13th January 1909. [...] Under the terms of the said deed it was covenanted that the loan was to be fully discharged by the creditors getting possession of certain properties of the debtor (specified in the deed) and realizing the rents and profits and cesses thereof by yearly instalments the details of wtiich were set out in the said document. [...] The material facts appearing from the verified petition on which the rule was issued are the following : – The Petitioner brought a suit in the Court of the Munsif of Sambalpur against the widow and son of one Jagabandhu Seth on a mortgage bond executed by the said Jagabandhu when living. [...] The complainant thereupon obtained sanction from the Munsif for the proscution of the Petitioner but the High Court on the 11th March 1912 revoked the said sanction and directed the application for sanction filed by the complainant before the Munsif to be rheard and disposed of according to law.
