To make the tale complete a well written Introduction takes the reader back to the origin of this Constitution in the East India Company's Charter of 1600 from which point the author tells briefly in his own words the story of the development of the Indian Constitution to date. [...] That being so we expected to find in it the one edition of the Act which gives the rules of the India Government framed under the Act and all the exemptions from its provisions sanctioned by not only the Goverment of India but by all the Local Governments. [...] The one omission which we particularly notice (and which we have noticed in every other compilation of rules and exemptions under the Arms Act) is the list of -pensioned officers of the Civil Departmen: whom the Bengal Government by a notification of 1903 exempted from the operation of the Act. [...] the footing of a breach of the cottract contained in the rules of the society. [...] The committee of the society was the agent of all the members of the society but one rnember could not recover from the other members damage's for the acts of the committee.
