As the report of the case before the Privy Council shows once the jurisdiction has been exercised His Majesty’s Judges are abslutely powerless to interfere with the order of the Court here although they may feel that hi the circumstances of the case the order shouhi not have been made. [...] Besides the mahajan is a necessary factor in the prsent economic system or even a necessary evil if you prefer to have it so and the problem of agricultural indebtedness of which the causes tie to far and deep is not brought appreciably nearer to solution by the forced liquidation so to say of the right of occupancy as hitherto existing by law and custom. [...] The Committee's proposals rain squeeze out these people and perhaps ruin them in their means and subsistence end load to the expropriation of the bhadrolokes and thus make the problem of resuscitation of Bengali villages the decay of which is the suject of such general lamest more difficult of realisation than ever. [...] The Plaintiff brought a.
