[...] As the head of the Bar it has been represented to me that your Lordship askeddirected—a member of the Bar to go out of the Court and 1 am here to protest against that remark. [...] And when a member of the profession which you and I hold so Sear in the heat of the moment or in the exuberance of spirit travels beyond the attitude of respect which he is bound to tender to the Court then one expects a meber of the Bar to tender his apology to me—the Court the representative of His Majesty the KinEmperor who sits in this plate for the disrespect which he has shown a [...] I think and I hope that on a little reflection the member of the Bar who has permitted himself no doubt in the heat of the moment to adopt the attitude that is inconsistent with that which it is intibent upon him to adopt towards this Court that 183"clxxxiv THE CALCUTTA WEEKLZ NOTE 111.
