In this connection I like to point out that your observation is not correct: In fact the Civil Justice Committee have avocated the proposed amendment and [...] The Committee having considered the objections that may be urged against the proposal are of opinion that the record " will be sufficient for purposes of appeal.". In England the sole record in orginall civil trials is the note which the Judge makes *of the substance of the evidence for his own information.
