The gradual evolution of Dominion status to what it is now is the result of the course of events that have followed the federation of the Canadian Provinces by the British North American Act of 1867 the Australian Commonwealth Act of 1901 Uni of South Africa Act of 1909 and the working of the constitution and exchange of views between the Dominions and the Imperial. [...] Explantions have been advanced to fit in the procdure with the conception of the legal unity 18-f the Empire some apologists maintaining that the procedure only meant that the King had received concurrent advice from the Ministers of the United Kingdom and the Dominion Ministers. [...] These signatures seem to give the Dominions an international position; but on the other hand it has to be remembered that the power issued to a particular party to sign on behalf of the Dominions is issued under the great seal of the realm and the great seal is affixed to it under the authority of the sigmanual warrant counter-signed by the Secretary of State for the foreign affairs the last [...] 19 of the Indian Limittion Act must be made before the expiration of the period prescribed for a suit in the third column of the first schedule of the Limitation Act and not before the expirtion of the period within which a minor may bring a suit : Held.further—That a mere acknowledment without an express promise to pay a time-barred debt cannot be made the basis of a suit under sec. [...] In a suit brought by the creditor against the reversioner for the debt : held (per FAWCETT AND MIRZA JJ.)- Thatt a debt which was not secured by the property inherited by a Hindu widow from her husband but which was spent by her in the proper management of that property cannot be realised out of the estate in the hands of the reversioner.
