We shall not antcipate the results of the Conference or the turn the history of India will take in consequence of it but we endorse the folloing view of the Prime Minister: “Whatever be the story that is to be written of the Coference be assured that it wili be written.” The unique significance of this Conference is that His Majesty the King has personally opened it. [...] His Majesty with appropriate dignity breadth of view and in the common interest of all concerned I have also in mind the just claims of majorties and minorities men and women town dwelers and tillers of the soil landlords and tenants the strong and the weak the rich and the poor of races castes and creeds of which the body politic is composed. [...] The Government of India seem to be in favour of confirming the scope of the rform to the constitution of the Government of India and the Provincial Governments in Britieh India as at present constitued. [...] The vastness of the subject can be gathered from the list of the works in Sanskrit on the subject given in the end of the volume in 253 pages. [...] In the case referred it was held that the order took effect from the date when the security was furnished and that as under the Hindu Law the mother was the natural guardian of the minor the alienation made by her for the benefit of the minor was bining upon the son.
