It will be remembered that they first went to the Chief Presidency Magistrate with a complaint under the Criminal Procedure Code and the Magistrate dismissed the corplaint against the principal accused on the ground that the necessary santion under sec. [...] ever the learned Advocate for the Pettioners suggested that apart from the Crimnal Procedure Code the High Court had a special jurisdiction under the Charter of the old Supreme Court and the present Letters Patent to deal with complaints of this type. [...] The latter part of that clause says that the Calcutta High Court shall have Ordinary Original Criminal Jurisdiction in respect of all such persons both within the limits of the Bengal Division of the Presidency of Fort. [...] William and beyond such limits and not within the limits of the criminal juridiction of any other High Court or Court established by competent legislative authrity for India as the said High Court shall have criminal jurisdiction over at the date of the publication of these Presents." The European accused in the case under notice were not under the criminal jurisdiction of any other Indi [...] (3) comes in and says that the landlord " shall be competent to exercise his right of purchase. within two months of the date of payment into Court of the balance of the landlord's transfer fee." What is the nature of the time-limit here laid down?
