A practitioner at Alipore a vakil of the High Court a Barrister-at-Law and then a Judge of the Presidency Court of Small Causes—he had thus both professional and judicial experience of the lower Courts and professional experience of both sides of the High Court. [...] We etirely agree with Lord Sankey that the jurisdiction of such a Court in India should be :hinted to the interpretation of the Federal constitution and Federal laws or of questions relating to the constitutional relationship between the Federal Goverment and the Provincial Governments or the Provincial. [...] And the author has also indicated the changes made in the Hindu Law by legislation giving the sustance of such Acts as the Hindu Inheriance (Removal of Disabilities) Act 1929 The Hindu Law of Inheritance Act 1929 and The Hindu Gains of Learning Act 1930. [...] The Plaintiffs alleging themselves to be the members of a joint Hindu family sued the Defendants who were alleged to be the mebers of another joint Hindu family on a bahi account and balance struck in favour of the Plaintiff on the Wei of the Plaintiffs. [...] It is of the essence of mutality that each party to the accounts must etend :'relit to the other on the faith of an admitted indebtedness and it is necessary to show that the indebtedness of each party was the result of a course of dealing in which credit was extended on the faith of the indebtedness to him.
