C.) read with the modifying Act of the Governor-General in Council namely the Calcutta Improvement Appeals Act (XVIII of 1911). [...] After the passing of the two Acts refered to above relating to the Improvement of Calcutta the Land Acquisition Act (I of 1894) has undergone several amendments the most important of which are: (1) Act XIX of 1921 and (2) Act XXXVI1I of 1923.
