The provision in the Code is that the Plaintiff shall present copies of the plaint for service on the Defendant if the plaint is admitted. [...] As the age of a suit is coputed from the date of its registration the Counts are at present unwilling to accomodate the poor landlords hard hit by the prehent economic crisis and by sinister nrent and no-payment campaigns in the air by extending the time for filing deficit court-fees for fear of enhancing the durtion of suits. [...] But the difference in the responsibility of the directors or the managing director as to balance-sheets and as to prospectuses can be explained only on the hypothesis of a defect in the law. [...] The book contains all the usual features of the Notable British Trials Series a full and accurate report excellent illustrations and a valuable " Introduction." For the latter alone the book ought to be read and re-read by businessmen as well as lawyers if they want light to be thrown on certain dark places of company law such as the building up of hidden reserves the limits of the duty of dis [...] Where a decree-holder attached certain monks lying with the Petitioner in the Prvident Fund in execution of a decree against 'the deceased judgment-debtor and objetions on the part of the Petitioner as well as the widow of the judgment-debtor having been disallowed the widow preferred an apeal to the District Court under sec.
