But in India in addition to this inherent and what may be called a temperamental cause there is another cause— the overbearing and highhanded conduct of the police towards thepublic then hectoring bullying methods their lack of consideration for the feelings or the purse of others in short their forgetfulness of the fact that they are public servants that the police officer is the servant [...] Gordon goes on to refer to the " present excellence and efficiency of the London police " and reminds his fore that that consummation is " not a superhuman miracle but the result of dilgence and attention to the great fact that the Force is appointed for the service of the public." That Mr. [...] The administration of one of the most important branches of the law lies largely in the hands of the police and nthing can be more unfortunate than that the police should alienate public support by their own conduct and - seriously daage not only their own usefulness but also the common weal. [...] 16 of the Contract Act deals in terms with the exercise of undue ifluence by one party to the contract on the other the principle of English law in repect of undue influence exercised by persons other than the promisor applies in India by virtue of sec.
