The Act puports only to consolidate and clarify the provisions of Muslim law relating to suits for dissolution of marriage by vmmen married under Muslim law "; and neither under the general Muslim law nor under the language of the Act is marriage autmatically dissolved on the happening of any of the events enumerated in section. [...] The value of such relief is not the value of the husband to the wife but the value to her of emancipation from tutelage to an obnoxious husband; in other words the test is not how good the husband is but how bad he has become.
