Justice Panckridge’s death all the Judges of the Court and members of the three branches of the profession assembled in the Chief Justice’s Court-room on the 24th morning when the Hon’ble the Chief Justice paid a just and well-expressed tribute to his memory. [...] The Advocate-General the Presdent of the Bar Association and a spokeman of the Attorneys also paid their tributes and thereafter the Court adjourned till the next morning. [...] [Vol. XLVI sacrificing the just rights of the Revenue in any way he has been extremely fair to the parties and always shown that dignified reasonableness which is expected of a representative of the Crown. [...] The Offices of the Court Original Side will (subject to further orders) be closed for general business for the Long Vacation on and from Thursday the 24th September to Friday the 13th November 1942 both days inclusive. [...] (The Bret day of these holidays synchronises with the second day of Id.ul-Fitr holidays.)
