Although he belonged to the landed aristocracy and came froth a family possessed of vast wealth he preferred to work for a career of his own and to that end cheerfully submitted hiself to the drudgery which is the lot of every conscientious beginner. [...] Those abilities coupled with the fairners and freedom from undue zeal which mark his advocacy ought to make him as we expect an ideal Crown Counsel and we have no doubt that he will maintain worthily the traditions of the high office to which he has been called which is not merely an office but also carries with it the leadership of the Bar. [...] to hear of the passing of Lord Hewart which is reported to have taken place on the 5th of May last. [...] So far as he himself was cocerned he said he would oppose the Bill word for word up to the bitter end and aItturit.his Court every day in order to attend the House and lead the opposition. [...] There is no procedure by which costs awarded against nominal parties can be recovered from real parties in execution of the decree and if it is intended to make any other person than the nominal party responsible for costs this should be done before or at the time of the passing of the decree for costs and not in the execution of that decree.
