The maintenance of its present juritiliction over both parts of Bengal would preserve in the mind of every Bengalee the fullest assurance and confidence in the matter of judicial relief and protection. [...] And this sense of security would be strengthened by the fact that the lower Courts would continue to be under the supervision and superintendence of the Calcutta High Court as at present.
