It has appeared almost an irony worthy of dramatic treatment that a nominee on the International Tribunal of one of the countries that had made war on Japan was turning the tables on the accusers themselves. [...] This is because however fascism might deserve to be reprimanded and even eliminated by political and miltary methods i f the arm of the law is to Le used for the purpose it must be done without bringing down by an iota the prcesses of evidence and the proprieties’ of procedure. [...] As a citizen the Judge might very well condemn the fascist concerned to perdition but as a jurist trained to look only at the evidence in the case he should not be expected to pronounce verdicts that are in essence of a political nature. [...] To the editor of this journal the most cherished memory in a long and laborious life is that of the great clays in the first decade of this century when the then British Goverment issued forth a ukase on the partition of Bengal but in agony our province as befitted the cradle *of Indian nationalism roared with such mighty zest that the settled fact " of partition had to be " unsettled " [...] Nurul Amin who respectively lead the administration of the two Bengals have expressed theselves strongly in favour of a fair deal to the minorities in their own domain when only provided that the minorities are loyal to the State they deserve to be cherished rather than hounded out by direct and idirect coercion ways and means will be found for a settlement of the problems that agitate
