It is indisputable that the nature and character of a judgment or decree or for the matter of that the jurisdiction of a Court passing the judgment and decree is determined by the state of affairs existing at the date of institution of the suit and its decision. [...] The observation of their Lordships in 53 C. W. N. 817 at page 821 that from after August 15 1947 the Jamalpur Court has become in relation to the Court of Small Causes Calcutta a foreign Court is unexceptionable but the further obsevation " and the judgment on the basis of which the decree now under execution was passed is a foreign judgment requires rconsideration in the light of the [...] 18 (3) of the Indian Indpendence Act is mentioned in the judment of their Lordships in 53 C. N. 817 the effect of provisions continuing the same law in both the Dominions do not apear to have been placed before them nor was it noticed that the judgment passed bfore the appointed day could not be retropectively made a foreign judgment by the adaptation amending the definition of [...] in the fornoon after which date Chamber applictions will be taken only by special appoinment at their residence up to the 26th October 1950 by the Registrar and therafter till the end of the Long Vacation by the Master and failing any of the Officers aforesaid by the seniormost Officer on duty at the time. [...] The following arrangements for the diposal of urgent criminal matters by the Vacation.Bench during the ensuing annual vacation are notified for general informtion: 1. The Hon'ble Vacation Judges will not sit in Court during the Civil Court Vaction from the llth of October to the 12th of November 1950.
