The independent existence of the two Acts is therefore recognised ; despite the death of the parent Act its offspring survives in the incorporating Act. [...] On 13th Deceber 1947 the Province of East Bengal was Substituted as the Defendant in the place of Province of Bengal and the written statment filed on behalf of the former was acepted.
